Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026

By using svgtools (the “Service”), accessible at https://svgtools.dev, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What svgtools is

svgtools is a free, browser-based tool for optimizing and converting SVG files. It runs entirely in your browser; no files are uploaded to our servers.

Acceptable use

You may use svgtools to process SVG files that you own, have permission to use, or that are otherwise legally available to you. You may not:

  • Use the Service to violate intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to disrupt, damage, or reverse-engineer the Service
  • Use automated systems to scrape or abuse the Service in ways that affect availability for other users

Your files

You retain all rights to the SVG files you process with svgtools. We neither claim ownership of your files nor store copies on our servers.

No warranty

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no guarantee that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Optimization will preserve every visual or behavioral detail of your original SVG (you should review optimized output before using it in production)
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, svgtools and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

Open source

The svgtools source code is available on GitHub at RuuNee/svgtools. The website's UI and original content are © the project authors. SVGO and other dependencies are distributed under their respective licenses.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
